Osun state police command has arraigned two suspects, Kazeem Lazimi, 30, and Kamorudeen Adeyemo, 52, over alleged fraud.
The accused persons were docked on three count charges bothering on fraud.
The charge sheet read in court revealed that the accused persons in April 2017 at Ogo Oluwa area, Osogbo conspired to obtain a total sum of N500,000 from one Oseni Ariyo with pretence to secure him one acre of land at Owode Ede and failed to do so.
The charge sheet disclosed that the suspects thereby committed an offence contrary to sections 519,419, and 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 34 vol 11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
However, they (suspects) pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
The defence counsel Tunbosun Oladipupo urged the court to grant the accused persons bail in the most liberal terms.
He added that the suspects would provide credible sureties to guarantee their readiness to face trial and prove their innocence.
The Presiding Magistrate F.A Sodamade granted the accused persons bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety each, who must provide evidence of three years tax clearance and swear to an affidavit of means.
The case was adjourned to November 29, 2018 for hearing.
