Two Teenagers Docked Over Alleged House Breaking

Two teenagers, Akibu Ojo 17 and Moshood Ibrahim, 18, have been arraigned before an Osogbo magistrate court over alleged house breaking.

The suspects were docked on six count charges bothering on house breaking and stealing.

The charge sheet disclosed that the accused broke and entered the house of one Oyegbade Sola and stole one water heater and wire and also broke and entered one Olawale Lateef’s house and stole electronic wire worth N850,000.

Read in court, the charge sheet revealed that the accused committed an offence contravening and punishable under section 516,section 390 (9) and 427 of the criminal code cap Vol. 11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

According to the charge sheet, the accused committed the offence on October 26 2018 at about 1:00pm at Halleluyah area Osogbo.

The suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

The defence counsel Chobuzo Collins prayed the court to grant the suspects bail in the most liberal and affordable term.

The prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of police, Fagboyinbo Abiodun objected the plea of the defence counsel saying  it is not the first time the accused will be arraigned for similar case.

He added that the first accused was supposed to be in prison but because of his age, granted bail.

The presiding magistrate, O A Oloyade granted the accused bail with the sum of N50,000 with two sureties for the first accused person and one surety for the second accused person.

He added that surety must be one of the parent,and  must swear to an affidavit of means and produce three years tax clearance.

The case was adjourned to November 27 2018.
