Two Women In Prison Over Alleged Stealing, Fraud Of N300,000

An Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, has remanded two women in Ilesha prison custody for allegedly defrauding one Oloyode Yetunde of a sum of N307,000  with pretence of delivering her from family curses.

The two accused persons, Kehinde Ashaolu, 61, and Bisola Olabode, 55, were docked on Wednesday on three count charges bothering on Conspiracy, Felony to wit stealing and Fraud.

The prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun informed the court that the accused persons committed the offence on December 14 2017 at about 12 pm at Station Road in Osogbo.

The prosecutor said  the accused persons fraudulently obtained the sum of N300,0000 from Oloyede  Yetunde with a pretence of delivering her from family curses.

He added that they (suspects) stole one Techo mobile phone valued N7,000 belonging to their victim.

Olusegun summited that the offence contravene sections 516, 419 and 383(1) punishable under section 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2002.

The  accused persons who were represented by Mrs Bose Adeyinka  pleaded guilty to all the count charge alleged.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs Falilat Sodamade ordered that the duo be remanded in Ilesha prison custody.

She adjourned the case for hearing.
