Two-Year-Old Raped, Murdered In Bauchi

A two-year-old girl was found dead in Bauchi State‘s Ningi Local Government Area, on Tuesday, bearing signs of rape.

Police spokesperson, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, in a statement, revealed that the victim’s body was discovered near a mosque on Deneva Street, prompting a report to the Ningi Police Divisional Headquarters.

A team of detectives was promptly dispatched to the scene, leading to the confirmation of the victim’s body.

It was revealed that a medical report from General Hospital Ningi showed severe injuries from penetration, resulting in the child’s death.

“The lifeless body was taken to General Hospital Ningi where a medical report confirmed that the baby had suffered severe injuries as a result of penetration which led to her death,” the statement said.

The Commissioner has directed the Divisional Police Officer to make extra efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice is served.
