UEFA Match Crisis In Calabar

Thursday night at a football viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River State, Over 30 people was reportedly feared dead after being electrocuted by a high-tension cable that fell on them.

Reported that the football fans were at the centre to watch a UEFA Europa League quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlecht.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident but said the number of casualties would be ascertained on Friday.
