Unai Emery Lands First Signing As Arsenal Manager

Arsenal are set to announce the first signing of Unai Emery’s reign after PSG sensation Yacine Adli agreed to join the club, according to reports in France.

The 17-year-old, whose playing style has been likened to Adrien Rabiot, is one of the Ligue 1 champions’ highest rated youngsters and the club had been desperate to convince him to stay.

But L’Equipe report that Adli rejected very lucrative terms to remain in Paris and has instead committed to join Arsenal, who will be required to pay a compensation fee.

Emery knows all about Adli’s ability thanks to his two-year stint at PSG.

An official announcement from the club is expected shortly, where he will become ex-PSG boss Emery’s first signing, with the Spanish coach aware that his contract was expiring this summer.

He has starred for PSG’s youth teams for a number of seasons, but Emery was prepared to promise the game time that the French side could not to swing the deal.
