UNIOSUN To Award Aregbesola Honorary Doctor Of Science

… As 62 Students Bag First Class

The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Prof Labode Popoola has disclosed that the Visitor to the university, Governor Rauf Aregbesola would be awarded honorary Doctor of Science on its 7th convocation ceremony.

Addressing a press conference in Osogbo on Thursday, Popoola said that sixty-two students bagged first class out of 1,647 students that would graduate in the 7th convocation.

He added that the former governor of the state, Chief Bisi Akande would also be honoured with Doctor of Letters.

The VC said UNIOSUN would also honour an expert in the oil industry, Dr. Olayiwola Francis Fatona.

He said the university has doubled its efforts toward producing entrepreneurial graduates capable of impacting on their environment and competing with their colleagues in the global world.

“We have relentlessly stood by our pledge through deployment of success-driven techniques that have continued to yield positive results as evident in our numerous achievements in the last one year”, Popoola said.
