Unravel Those Behind Our Breadwinner’s Death – Family Of Slained Cleric Cries Out

The family of the late Morris Fadehan has called on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to unravel those behind the killing of the cleric.

The deceased cleric, Evangelist Morris Gbaju Fadehan, was gruesomely murdered inside Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Omitoto, llode in lle-ifę on Monday, February 26, 2024, OSUN DEFENDER reports.

In an address signed by Fadehan Elizabeth and Agbeniga Comfort, the family appealed to the police boss to intensify investigations into the killings in order to arrest more culprits, noting that it has been receiving threats from different angles since the commencement of the case.

The family who confirmed the arrest of the culprit by the police, also alleged that more culprits that masterminded the killing are roaming free, thus calling for their arrest.

The address partly reads: “We are the relatives of M/S/E Morris Gbaju Fadehan, who was gruesomely murdered inside Celestiał Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Omitoto, llode in lle-ifę on Monday, February 26, 2024.

“Though, Nigeria Police Force apprehended one Lekan Ogundipe who were told confessed to the callous killing of our easy-going father, but we believe more needed to be done on it.

“We are of the opinion that if police could be determined to intensify their investigation on this broad day killing, more culprits shall be arrested.

“There have been several misunderstanding between the deceased and Lekan, anytime this happened, he (Lekan) has many supporters in church that he always use against the deceased.

“Lekan couldn’t have carried out the dastard act alone on that day without an assistant from his co-haters of the deceased in the church. We wish to let the general public know that since the inception of the case, some of us have been receiving several strange calls to drop the case.

“Threats from different angles are countless, saying that we want to fight the powerful and influential people in the society.

“The sudden interest shown by some who is who in Osun state towards the matter caught us as a surprise.

“Of a truth, we have nobody except God as this is taking a different dimension now. that is why we are calling on the Inspector General of Police to wade into this matter and help the helpless, this case must be thoroughly investigated and no sinner must go unpunished.

“International Community and reputable Non-Governmental Organisations in Nigeria should, please, speak out for us.

“Life has been so miserable for the wife and children of our beloved Fadehan since his untimely death. Nobody to cater for them as father. He was a perfect example of family man while alive and his contributions to the extended family can never be overlooked”.
