UPDATE: Normalcy Returns To Ikire After Protest

Normalcy has been restored to the popular Ikire Junction in the State of Osun after an early morning disturbance by some hoodlums who appeared to join the APC protest over the list of councillorship candidates for January’s Local Government in the state.

The state police command says they are on the trail of anyone who capitalizes on the protest to breakdown law and order in the area.

Recalled that the former executive secretary in the area, Mr Soji Ajayi was allegedly said to be behind the protest because he lost out in the party’s primaries after five years in the office

OSUN DEFENDER had earlier reported that the police sources were at the scene of the protest and blocked roads have since been reopened for the commuters
