The remains of the late Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Abdulrauf Olawale, Adedeji II, has been buried in the palace amidst Coronavirus pandemic protocols.
Oba Olawale’s remains was interred after performance of Muslim rites.
COVID-19 protocol officials performed the burial, as they burnt the casket in which the remains was carried to the grave after the interment.
Traditional rites was also performed on the body of the late natural ruler before it was buried.
There was massive turnout of people at the palace to give last respect to Oba Adedeji.
