UPDATED: Tension in Osogbo As Police Allegedly Chase Suspected Yahoo Boy To Death

There was tension in some parts of Osogbo, the capital of the state of Osun, following the reported death of a suspected internet fraudster this evening.

OSUN DEFENDER gathered that the suspected internet fraudster died in an accident following a hot chase by some policemen on Oba Adesoji Aderemi East Bye Pass road some hours ago.

Three of the suspected yahoo boys were said to have sustained injuries in the accident while the fourth occupant of the car gave up the ghost.

It was gathered the suspects were being trailed by the police from the Osun Mall.

The situation has sparked protest from some residents of Osogbo who have blocked the Osogbo East bypass, Dele Yes Sir and Lameco roads in Osogbo.

Accoeding to reports, the protesting Youths took his corpse to the entrance of the Government House where police officers shot sporadically in the air to chase them away.

The situation has disrupted free flow of traffic around Oke-Fia, Ola-Iya, Alekuwodo, Capital, Odi-Olowo axis.

Some irate youths also attacked police vehicle around Alekuwodo area.

Reports say the protesting Youths took Remi’s corpse to the entrance of the Government House where police officers shot sporadically in the air to chase them away
