US Congressman Accuses USAID Of Funding Boko Haram, Other Terror Groups

A United States Congressman, Scott Perry, has alleged that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is funnelling funds to terrorist organisations, including Boko Haram.

He referenced an alleged allocation of $136 million for the construction of 120 schools in Pakistan, claiming that there was “zero evidence” that any of them had been built.
Additionally, he criticised USAID’s funding of women empowerment programmes in Afghanistan, arguing that the money was being misappropriated as the Taliban had prohibited women from speaking in public.
Perry insisted that the agency’s activities had little to do with actual development but were instead facilitating terrorism.
“You are funding terrorism, and it’s coming through USAID. And it’s not just Afghanistan, because Pakistan’s right next door,” he remarked.
The Congressman’s comments add to growing scrutiny surrounding USAID’s financial operations.
US President Donald Trump has previously called for the dissolution of the agency, citing corruption and mismanagement.
Trump’s ally, billionaire businessman Elon Musk, has also criticised USAID, describing it as a hub for radical leftist activities and rogue intelligence operations.
