US Doesn’t Have Bigger Stake in Global Peace Than Other Rich Nations — Shehu Sani

Former Kaduna Central Senatorial District lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has said the United States does not hold a greater stake in global peace and prosperity than other wealthy nations.

Sani made the remarks in a statement shared on his official X account on Monday, adding that the US withdrawal from some United Nations agencies has created significant funding gaps and operational challenges for the global body.

He wrote, “Many staff have been relieved of their jobs. The over-dependence of the UN on American money is a serious mistake that should now be corrected. The oil-rich Gulf states, Europe, and China have no reason not to fill the gap. America doesn’t have a bigger stake in world peace and prosperity than other rich nations.
