UTME : NIN Compulsory For 2021 JAMB/DE Registration

 

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), has released the timetable for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination.

According to the board, the UTME would hold from Saturday, 5th to Saturday, 19th June 2021

The board said registration for the examinations will start on Thursday, 8th April to Saturday, 15th May 2021.

 

The board said there will be no extension of time for the sale of the UTME/DE application documents.

The board made the announcement in a statement by its Head Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday.

According to the statement, “the Governing Board of JAMB took the decision after its meeting on the 22nd of March, 2021.”

The statement said, applicants will have to supply their National Identity Number (NIN) before they can register for the examinations.

The board added that the use of NIN was mandatory for participation in the 2021 registration exercise

It said registration will take place in 700 Computer – Based Test Centres nationwide.
