Governor Hope Uzodinma has appointed Justice T.E Chukwuemeka-Chikeka, FCIArb as the Acting Chief Judge of Imo State.
This was disclosed Wednesday, in a statement by the Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association Owerri Branch, Chinedu Agu, and made available to newsmen.
Hon. Justice Chukwuemeka-Chikeka will be sworn in at 10:00am, today, at the Exco Chambers, Imo State Government House, Owerri.
“The Release, which was signed by the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Chief Cosmas Iwu, invites members of the Bar, members of the Bench, Speaker, and Members of the Imo State House of Assembly and Members of the Executive Council (both serving and retired) to the swearing-in ceremony.
“This appointment which is in the exercise of the powers conferred on the Governor by Section 274(4) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (As Amended), takes immediate effect, according to the Release”.
