The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has confirmed the arrest of a vandal, while two others escaped in Osun State.

In a post on Tuesday on TCN X handle, it stated that the Vandal was nabbed on Monday night by armed vigilantes in an attempt to return to sabotage a transmission tower.
TCN disclosed that the same transmission tower, located in the Ikeji-Ile area of Osun State, had been previously vandalised on August 13, 2024, with vital components stolen.
The suspects reportedly returned on the night of August 26 to continue their destructive activities, leading to the arrest of one of them.

According to the statement, “One tower vandal has been apprehended last night, August 26, 2024,by armed vigilante in Osun State, while two escaped and are currently being trailed by the police.
“Recall that on the 13th of August 2024, one of TCN’s towers at the Ikeji-Ile area of Osun State was vandalised and tower members carted away. While one of the culprits was caught as they returned to continue their attack on the tower yesterday night, two are at large.”
