Although the video is not clear, OSUN DEFENDER heard one of the thugs who spoke in Yoruba asking the others to carry him into the vehicle while the victims pleaded for mercy.
The thugs, after bundling the victim into the vehicle, shot into the air and left the scene.
Meanwhile, the Director General of The Imole Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi, in a Facebook post Thursday evening, alleged that armed thugs led by one Laciva and Lasisi carried out the attack.
“The assailants arrived in a branded Toyota Sienna vehicle associated with APC leader and aspirant Hon. Kujenbola,” Oyewumi alleged.
He added that “video recordings of the incident are also said to have been captured by individuals present at the scene.”
Oyewumi called on the Nigeria Police Force, DSS, NSCDC, and all relevant security agencies “to immediately conduct a thorough, impartial investigation and ensure that anyone found responsible, regardless of status or political affiliation, is brought to justice.”
Efforts to get the reaction of the Police proved abortive as of the time of this report.
