A former pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Abraham Daniel, has publicly alleged that the miracles performed by the church’s Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, are not genuine.

Speaking in an interview with Kaa Truths, Daniel explained that his decision to leave the church was due to frustration with what he saw as a flawed approach to “healing and deliverance.”

Daniel claimed that, after each healing service, more people sought healing than had initially attended.

He described the atmosphere at these services as chaotic, likening it to the panic of a stadium crowd reacting to a dangerous animal.

He added that the overwhelming crowds often led people to act out of desperation.

“I would tell you that healing is capital no. And it is with due respect to him and to Dunamis Church, I have nothing to lose or gain. The miracles are not real, they don’t happen.

“Let me tell you, give you an instance. One major reason why I left is the frustration I had. After healing and deliverance service, we have more people that need healing than people that came for healing. I don’t know whether you got me.”

He also noted that after the services, many people still sought further prayer, showing signs of frustration.

“You could see frustration. And as a pastor, you know, because when daddy has gone, the Wahala now is left for us because they have to meet us. Oh, pastor, please, I need to see daddy. I brought this person. I brought that person. And people, oh, I’m like, ho? Where do I start from? Like, you could see pain.”

Daniel suggested that the high-energy environment during the services created an illusion of miracles.

“When you’re on the stage it’s different from reality. When you are in a crowded atmosphere charged with, you know, you know, disco light and bang bang bang or the music is slow, your emotion is being tapped into. It’s different ball game on when the lights are off and you have to face reality.”

He compared this to attending events by popular artists, where temporary relief from ailments might occur, only for symptoms to return later, describing it as an “environmental influence.”

His comments come amid a controversial period for the church, as both Daniel and Pastor Enenche’s younger brother, Alex Enenche, were detained by the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on January 7, 2025, on charges of cyberbullying and defamation.

They were released the following day after an agreement to resolve the matter peacefully.
