Video: I Have To Fly Back In 10 Minutes Due To Lack Of Electricity At Your Airport – Tinubu Tells Plateau Victims
•As President Holds Meeting With Victims, Stakeholders At Airport Terminal
Reactions have trailed the visit of President Bola Tinubu to Jos, Plateau State capital on Thursday to commiserate with the victims of Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba, which left over 27 people dead.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that the President during the visit, ordered the installation of over 5,000 surveillance cameras in the state.
“The Honourable Minister for Communication is here to give you assurance that we are going to install immediately a network of cameras that will help the law enforcement agencies to identify the troublemakers instantly, over 5,000 of that,” Tinubu stated as he invited the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, to explain the plan.
The President acknowledged that no amount of money could compensate victims for their losses but promised government support.
Tinubu also directed security chiefs, including the Inspector-General of Police and the Chief of Defence Staff, to arrest those responsible for the attack.
“I thank the men and women of the armed forces, particularly the police, for what they are doing and what they are about to do.
“You must unearth and find the killers. I’m glad IGP is here. I’m glad the Chief of Defence Staff is here too. I’m glad the Minister of Defence is here,” the President stated.
However, a video which surfaced online following his meeting with the stakeholders and victims has stirred reactions online.

In the video posted by News Central, the president said he would have to fly back as soon as possible because there was no light at the Jos airport.
“You have no light at the airport and I have to fly back within the next 10 minutes,” the President stated in the video.
It was also gathered that Tinubu held the meeting with the stakeholders and victims at the Airport terminal.
Reacting an X user, Mayorlee, wrote, “Addressing the grieving people of Plateau from the comfort of an airport hub is another all-time low.
“But can’t blame him, even the number one chief security officer of the state went in an armoured tank.”
Another X user, Yusuf Ahmed wrote, “The fact that the president couldn’t even go to visit the site of the attack and had to address the people of Plateau State at the airport says it all.
“How are some of you so comfortable supporting this much evil just because you want to make money?”.
