VIDEO: Pastor Paul Adefarasin Allegedly Threatens Blogger With Gun In Lagos Traffic
  • PublishedJune 7, 2025

A viral video circulating online shows Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock Church allegedly holding what appears to be a handgun while stuck in Lagos traffic.

In the short clip, reportedly filmed by a TikToker known for documenting luxury cars, the pastor is seen behind the wheel when he seemingly notices he’s being recorded.

He then appears to reach for and slowly raise an object resembling a gun.

The footage has triggered mixed reactions online. While some social media users defended the act as a security precaution in the face of rising attacks in Lagos traffic, others condemned it as unnecessary and intimidating, especially coming from a clergyman.

Here are some of the reactions on Instagram:

@Abelsworldluxury: “Many fools on the internet. So because he’s a pastor therefore you should attack him? Be like some of you haven’t been attacked in Lagos traffic.”

@Ganjarise: “Despite being escorted, he was in possession of a handgun, yet no action was taken against him. Only in Nigeria.”

@Iambukacavity: “Fear pastors oooo! I fear general overseers pass armed robbers…they operate like mafias. They don silent many.”

@Ikebest_: “This is called ‘shocker’ not pistol. Highly recommended for traffic self-defence. It has the ability to shock and temporarily paralyze an attacker from a distance.”

@Laurie_erics: “Pastor was like They words and dy gun comfort me 😩”

As of press time, neither Pastor Adefarasin nor House on the Rock Church has issued an official statement regarding the incident.
