Scores of youths in Lagos State on Monday, July 29, stage a counter-protest against the August 1st nationwide demonstration.

Recall that some Nigerians are preparing to protest against the economic challenges facing the country.
The protest, which has been gaining momentum on social media, is set to occur across all states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, beginning August 1.

The youth, gathered from various locations, met on Lagos Island to show their support for the administration led by President Bola Tinubu.
They called on their peers to “avoid violent protests.”
Referring to the 2020 #EndSARS protest, which resulted in property damage and loss of life in Lagos, the youth expressed their determination to prevent a repeat of such events.
