Wasiu Ayinde Blasts Kollington Ayinla For Missing Mother’s Burial
Famous Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, professionally called K1, has called out his senior colleague and mentor, Ayinla Kollington, for missing his mother’s burial ceremony.
OSUN DEFENDER recalls that Kwam1’s mother died on January 18, 2025, and was buried on the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
However, expressing his anger in an interview with On Air Personality (OAP) Bamidele Adeyanju on Agbaletu Radio, Kwam1 narrated how he stood with Kollington when his mother died and handled all the finances.
Expressing his disappointment, he accused Kollington of repaying him back in a bad way.
He said, “I have no intention of having issues with Alhaji Kollington, and I will never engage in any public dispute with him. However, I must express my disappointment. When his mother passed away, I went above and beyond to support him. I stood by him, mobilized every necessary person, and ensured the burial was dignified. I personally reached out to the governor, the deputy governor, and covered all financial responsibilities.
“But when I lost my own mother, Alhaji Kollington gave excuses that, quite frankly, were not convincing. Let the truth be told—he claimed he called me and I didn’t pick, but for someone I supported so wholeheartedly, I expected more. I just want clarity. What really happened? Let’s be honest and call a spade a spade.”
