The Osun State Government has disclosed that it has spent over one billion naira within its short period to revitalise the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, OSBC.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Bureau of Social Services, BOSS, Mr Akintunde Bello, disclosed this on Tuesday while playing host to the executive council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, OSBC Chapel, during a courtesy visit.
According to the SSA to Governor Adeleke, OSBC remains one of the priority of the incumbent administration, being the mouthpiece of the government propagating its programmes and policies without political sentiment.
Mr Akintunde Bello also pledged to partner with the NUJ, OSBC Chapel in order to sustain the cordial relationship between the government and media practitioners who are working day and night in the overall interest of Osun state.
Earlier, the chairman of the NUJ, OSBC Chapel, Comrade Lateef Agboola, had urged the government of the day to help revisit the issue of Media Salary Scale and ensure its implementation, in order to give the media professionals in the employ of Osun state government more sense of belongings in their strive to make Osun State better at all times.
