Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has promised to release the white papers on some vacant traditional stools in the state.
He made the promise on Thursday during a meeting with traditional rulers in the state.
According to a report from TVC, Adeleke noted that white papers on the report of the committee on Iree, Ikirun and Igbajo chieftaincy tussle will be issued next week.
Osun Defender reports that Adeleke in his first assignment as Governor, issued an executive order for the three occupants of the traditional stool to vacate their seats.
Adeleke directed security agents to take over the palaces of Owa of Igbajo, Aree of Iree and Akinrun of Ikirun.
The Governor subsequently set up a committee to look into the issues surrounding the appointment of the three monarchs.
However, months after the committee submitted its report, the white paper is yet to be released with indigenes of the affected communities in anxiety and calling for speedy resolution.
