Renowned Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has revealed the reasons behind her marriage to movie marketer Kazim Adeoti.
In a recent episode of Nollywood on Radio, the 46-year-old said their shared passion for the entertainment industry brought them together.
“One of the reasons I married him is that we’re both in the same industry,” she said.
Aigbe also discussed the benefits of partnering with Adeoti, adding, “Together, we are building a production empire. I just felt I needed someone in the industry to collaborate with.
“And it is a good thing that he understands it too. Combining our strengths, the future looks promising.”
In January 2022, Mercy unveiled Kazim as her husband much to the surprise of many.

Shortly after the unveiling, the actress was in the public eye after Funsho Adeoti, Kazim’s first wife, accused her of snatching her husband.
Kazim, however, defended his decision to marry a second wife.
He said Islam permits polygamy as long as the husband can take care of his wives and does not maltreat them.
He added that his first wife had relocated permanently to the United States, leaving him with no choice but to take another wife.
In 2023, Aigbe converted from Christianity to Islam. The actress said she reconsidered her religious beliefs because of her love for Adeoti.
“Converting to Islam made our bond tighter and sweeter. And it is exciting for me because I am learning the religion and at the end of the day, we are serving one God,” she had said.
