Wike, Allies Working Against PDP – Ogidi
The National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emmanuel Ogidi, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and his allies of working against the interests of the party and described them as not genuine PDP members.
Ogidi made the remark on Friday during an interview on Arise Television.
He dismissed Wike’s criticisms and insisted that the PDP would proceed with plans for its national convention despite a court ruling halting the exercise.
According to him, the party is following due process and has already filed an appeal against the judgment restraining it from holding the convention.
“We are doing everything within our guidelines. It’s unfortunate that some of our members are economical with the facts. What happened in court today was like a comedy.
“But we have made up our minds — we have appealed, and we will continue with our processes because we believe we are doing the right thing,” Ogidi said.
He further accused Wike and his allies of arrogance and anti-party behaviour, describing them as disgruntled elements undermining the PDP.
“They are the ones that are arrogant. They are the ones who have been boasting. They are not PDP members as far as I am concerned,” he added.
