The incident came hours after Wike ordered the immediate arrest of the owner of a multi-story hotel that collapsed last Friday in Jikwoyi, Abuja and announced that the land would be seized for public use.

The terminal collapse, led to severe congestion along the busy corridor linking the Federal Capital Territory to neighbouring Nasarawa State, leaving many commuters stranded for hours.

Eyewitnesses said some vehicles were affected by the debris, while residents and road users made efforts to clear the obstruction to ease traffic flow.
