Wike Eulogises Senator Akpabio As He Inaugurates Road Project

RIVERS State governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has praised the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for the support he gave him which enabled him to become the governor of Rivers State.

Governor Wike made the assertion on Monday during the inauguration of the Kpopie-Bodo Road in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State as part of the activities to mark his second anniversary.

The Rivers State governor explained that he invited Senator Akpabio to inaugurate the projects to show him that his support for him to become the governor was not misplaced.

On his part, Akpabio, praised Governor Wike for being development-oriented.

He commended him for the giant strides he had recorded in the last two years and said the governor had changed the face of the Niger Delta through infrastructure.

He urged the people of Gokana, Ogoni and indeed Rivers State to continue to support the governor to be able to execute more life-touching projects for them.

He expressed the belief that with the quantum of projects he had seen in Rivers State, Governor Wike would have an overwhelming support to go for a second term.

He described Wike as a development-oriented governor and urged the people of Rivers State to keep supporting him to do more for them.
