I Will Transform Agriculture to Develop Osun – Rep

Chairman, Federal House of Representatives Committee on Debt Management, Hon Adeyinka Ajayi has assured the people of Osun State to transform agriculture to build a solid revenue base for the economic and social development of the state if elected governor in the forthcoming September 22 election.

Ajayi who is representing Ifelodun /Boripe/ Odo-Otin Federal Constituency while declaring his intention to contest for the governorship seat at the state secretariat of All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Osogbo, the state capital promised to consolidate on the giant strides recorded by Governor Rauf Aregbesola in the last Seven and half years.

The lawmaker, a second timer in the house of representatives appealed to the leadership and members of APC to support his ambition to ensure continuity of good governance in the state. APC will bring about transformation to the state.

According to him, Governor Rauf Aregbesola has build a solid foundation for the development of the state which require a determined and cerebral leader as a successor to sustain the people oriented programmes instituted by the governor.

He rolled out three key electoral promises tagged APC which includes Agricultural development, Public servant welfear and Continuity of Aregebsola’s social investment programmes and infrastructures enhancement.

He said ” I can assure you that with the level of work the incumbent has done in the state with massive infrastructural development in urban and rural areas ,concentrating efforts on agriculture will help boost the economy of the state as well as making the state dependent financially without fully relying on federation account.

“This won’t be difficult to do since Osun is an agrarian state, under our leadership, the welfare of public servants would be given attention. They are a major component of any government and if we are to achieve anything tangible I believe giving them priority will propel them to give their all in the transformation of the state.

” As for the C you will all agree with me that the incumbent has laboured so hard to lay an indelible foundation. It’s only an aspirant who has nothing to offer that would want to waste their time coming with his own programs. We would sustain the legacy built in all aspects of the economy and we will prosecute it in a manner that will bring prosperity to the people if elected ”

He also promised to focus more on youth development through empowerment and be entrepreneurship to increase productivity and expand the state economy

Welcoming the aspirant at the party Secretariat, the state party chairman, Gboyega Famodun described the aspirant as one of the representative at the federal level who has been portraying the state in good light.

He noted that Adeyinka remains one of the future assets of the party as he would always be found doing things that would bring progress to the party while assuring him of a level playing ground in the forthcoming primary election.
