A yet to be identified woman was yesterday knocked down by a car in Osogbo, the capital of the State of Osun.
The ugly incident happened around Arora Event Center, a few distance from the LAMECO roundabout in Osogbo on Monday evening.
The Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Osun command, Agnes Ogungbemi, said the accident might have been caused by overspeeding.
According to her, the driver of the Toyota Sienna with registration number GNN144AH took to his heels after he hit the woman.
Ogungbemi added that the vehicle was towed by the police to Dugbe Divisional Police Station, Osogbo, and the remains of the woman were taken to the mortuary.
