Woman Throw Daughters Into Well In Osun
In Osogbo the State capital of Osun, a mother has thrown her two daughters into a deep well to drown at Koledowo, Ibuaje Area of Osogbo on Monday afternoon.
The middle-aged woman who is a resident of Anjorin Street, Ibuaje Area in Osogbo, reportedly threw her daughters in the well due to not having financial wherewithal to cater for their wellbeing.
A source who spoke to our correspondent under condition of anonymity said the woman threw her first daughter, aged 7 years and her younger sister, aged 5 years into the well in the community at about 2:00 pm.
While speaking incoherently, the mother of the children disclosed that she was residing overseas before she was later deported.
She disclosed further that she discovered that the destinies of her daughters have been tampered with when she was away from home, a development that led to her tossing them into the well.
As at the time of filing this report, police officers had been called to the scene of the incident while efforts were being made to recover the corpses of both girls.
As at when filing this report, bodies of the girls were yet to be recovered or removed from the well.
It is not ascertained whether the woman is a widow or not.
