The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has vowed to enhance the reintegration process of Ruth Ogunleye, a recently discharged female ex-Army Private to facilitate her smooth transition into her new environment.
The Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, gave the assurance when she received Ogunleye in her office, in Abuja.
To achieve this goal, the Ministry will provide Ogunleye with access to funds and skills training in Information Technology.

The Ministry has partnered with the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education, led by Abiola Arogundade, to equip Ogunleye with relevant skills in ICT and provide necessary equipment for an online IT job.
Furthermore, the Ministry is working to secure a scholarship for Ogunleye to pursue her dream of becoming a professional nurse.
Kennedy-Ohanenye commended Nigerians who utilize social media platforms to raise awareness about societal issues and promote solutions.
The Minister urged Non-Governmental Organizations, philanthropists, and the public to support the Ministry’s efforts to rehabilitate Ogunleye, enabling her to seize new opportunities and move forward.
During the visit, the Ministry presented Ogunleye with ₦200,000 in cash, symbolizing their commitment to her reintegration.
In her response, ex-Private Ruth Ogunleye thanked the Minister of Women Affairs as well as the Management and Staff of the Ministry for lending her support in her hour of need.
