Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun has described women as more reliable than their male counterparts in politics.
The Governor stated this while hosting APC Women Leaders across the state who came to felicitate with him on his recent triumph at the Court of Appeal.
Governor Oyetola stated that women do not betray or jumps from one party to another at will, stressing that they are very principled and can be counted on anytime any day.
Mr. Oyetola who appreciated the women for standing by him during the election, stressed that his emergence as Governor is divinely ordained and never his making.
The Governor said after the first judgement delivered by the Election Petition Tribunal, he was even pacifying his supporters not to loose hope, stressing that he believed the anomalous judgement would be corrected by the Appeal Court and the judgement of the Appeal Court which would declare him the authentic winner of the last September governorship election upheld by the Supreme Court which is the highest court of the land.
The Governor who disclosed that rather than exhibiting downcast after the declaration of the Tribunal, he took it as his own challenge of life, adding that all men must pass through challenges, citing the prophets in the holy books who passed through challenges, stated that challenges of life of men are only wakeup calls from slumber or possible distraction, assuring the good people of Osun that he will justify the confidence reposed in him by serving them diligently.
Earlier in her remarks, the State All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde appreciated the good people of Osun for standing by the Governor and the governing APC, assuring them that they will never be disappointed as Governor Gboyega Oyetola is God sent who will not rest on his oars at ensuring that he takes the State of Osun to the next level.
Alhaja Fakokunde said Governor Oyetola has the credentials and wealth of experience to give the state the best of leadership as evident in the present infrastructural development going on across the nooks and crannies of the Land of Virtue.
