Former Osun Deputy Governor, Mrs Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori has disclosed that women would not be relegated to the background in the present administration under Governor Gboyega Oyetola, rather they would enjoy adequate representation.
She disclosed this while answering questions from journalists at her family residence located at Owode Area of the state.
According to the former deputy governor, though, the present administration has a male deputy governor, the APC-led administration presented women for elective positions, especially into the legislative arm of government unlike the last administration which is an all male assembly.
According to her, the present administration in the state would further give women proper voice and allow their views to be heard.
“Women have been elected into the legislative chambers in the state based on their merit and competence to serve the teeming populace across the state.
She added that the state has achieved tremendously in the area of infrastructure and express confidence in the ability of the present government to sustain the legacy.
According to her, the incumbent governor was an integral member of the last administration and is aware of activities of governance, hence, the trust in him to perform beyond expectations.
Laoye-Tomori added that the people of the state voted for the APC because of the trust they have in the party to deliver dividends of democracy across the state.
She urged the teeming populace in the state to extend similar support given to the previous administration to the Oyetola-led government in the state as a way to further enhance development in the state.
