Arole Oodu’a, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Babatunde Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has assured descendants of Oduduwa across the globe that the Yoruba race will never be into war neither will there be war in Yoruba land no matter the present challenges the land/country is facing.
Ooni made the public assertion on Thursday through its Director of Media and Public Affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare while addressing the Oodu’a Women who visited him at Oduduwa House (Ile Odu’a) in the ancient City of Ife, State of Osun.
The leader of the women group, Yeye Simisade Keeku Onayenu explained to Ooni reasons for their visit to the Odua House. She said, “There was a revelation from Ifa Oracle recently that war could errupt in Yoruba land if the ongoing security challenges in the region/country is not urgently addressed.
“The Ifa Oracle has placed on us a task, we were implored to pray fervently in our ancestral ways and asked to visit six (6) prominent palaces in Oduduwa land for Royal blessings and endorsement, we resolved to commence the assignment in Ile Ife being the source of our race”.
While responsding, Ooni said, “If you search through history, you will agree with me that there has never been a time the Yoruba land got disintegrated and I can assure you that such will never happen, our ancestors will not even allow that.
“We are not going to war, we have always been a rallying point and we will maintain that status no matter what it will take”.
