Zamfara Gets New Deputy Governor (Photos)

A new Deputy Governor has been sworn-in in Zamfara State.

He is Senator Hassan Nasiha, the senator representing Zamfara Central in the National Assembly.

Nasiha was nominated as Deputy Governor of the state after the former Deputy Governor Mahadi Aliyu, was impeached.

The Governor of Zamfara, Bello Matawalle, had in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Kabiru Balarabe nominated Nasiha as his deputy.

The letter was then read at Wednesday’s plenary by Speaker Nasiru Magarya.

Consequently, the Chief Judge of the state, Kulu Aliyu has sworn in Senator Hassan Nasiha as the Sixth Deputy Governor of the state.

As it is the tradition of the Matawalle’s led administration, Nasiha was directed to swear with the holy Quaran to prove his innocense in the activities of Armed Bandits and Kidnappers in Zamfara and the Country at large.

The Chief Judge Kulu Aliyu administered the oath of office on the new Deputy Governor.
