Popular gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has sparked widespread reactions online following a stern warning to married men involved in extramarital affairs.
In a sermon that has since gone viral and posted on TikTok by @empressmargarretterkaleka, Bassey condemned the act of married men allegedly deceiving young women into relationships, describing it as dangerous and morally corrupt.
โYouโre a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,โ he said while addressing his congregation.
Issuing a strong warning, the cleric declared, โI place a demand upon the grace of lifeโif you try it this year, you wonโt survive. Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media.โ

Bassey further cautioned married men against taking women to hotels under false pretences, stating, โYou take a lady to a hotel, you lie meanwhile youโre marriedโyou will not come out from that hotel.โ
He also directed a strong message at young women who knowingly engage in relationships with married men. He criticised what he described as material-driven motivations, warning that pursuing wealth, luxury items, or social status at the expense of moral values could lead to severe repercussions
โYou too, youโre a lady, you know the man youโre dating is married, but because of greed, attention and Brazilian wig, you want to carry Louis Vuitton bagโif you try it, you wonโt survive it,โ he warned.
Bassey concluded by urging listeners not to trivialise his message, saying, โIf you like, take what Iโm saying jokingly.โ
The video has continued to generate intense debate across social media platforms, with users divided over the tone and implications of the sermon.
