Convicted kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, has pleaded with the Lagos State High Court for leniency, offering to surrender his properties in exchange for a reduced sentence.
During the court proceedings, Evans, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for kidnapping and other crimes, begged the judge to reconsider his punishment.
He expressed willingness to forfeit all his assets and cooperate fully with the authorities as part of a plea bargain.
His legal team argued that a more lenient sentence would be appropriate, citing his remorse and cooperation.
