I was told to work on my tummy – Kehinde Adegbodu reacts to concerns about his health
The surviving member of the Adegbodu Twins gospel music duo, Kehinde Adegbodu, has reassured fans that he is in good health after concerns over his noticeable weight loss spread across social media.
Responding to the speculation, Kehinde explained that he intentionally slimmed down following repeated medical advice after the death of his twin brother, Taiwo Adegbodu, who died of a heart attack on February 28, 2026.
According to the singer, several health professionals urged him to reduce his protruding tummy as a preventive measure, regretting they had not given similar advice before Taiwo’s passing.
“I have been seeing different comments. Someone said I slimmed down. Yes, I slimmed down for the benefit of my well-being. A lot of medical professionals reached out to me after my twin brother’s death and advised me to work on my big tummy. There’s nothing wrong with me; I’m not sick. I’ve simply been on a diet,” he said, while thanking those genuinely concerned and asking for continued prayers.
DJ Switch blasts Remi Tinubu over ‘Akara, Kuli-Kuli’ business advice
Popular disc jockey and activist DJ Switch has sparked widespread debate after lashing out at First Lady Oluremi Tinubu over her recent remarks encouraging Nigerians to start small businesses such as selling akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli.
The First Lady had stated that the Federal Government had provided grants to support Nigerians in launching such low-capital ventures as part of efforts to cushion economic hardship.
Reacting on social media, DJ Switch criticised the comments, arguing that government attention should instead focus on creating opportunities that prepare Nigerians for a technology-driven future.
“With absolute no due respect, Remi! Thunder fire you! While other nations are creating spaces and infrastructure to develop their people for this rapidly technologically advancing world, you want us to sell kuli-kuli?” she wrote.
Her remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing that the government should prioritise innovation and quality jobs, while others defended the First Lady’s message as one promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
‘I didn’t secretly sell my husband’s properties’ — Mr Ibu’s widow
Stella Maris Okafor, widow of late Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has denied allegations that she secretly sold her husband’s properties for personal gain.
Speaking in a video interview with content creator King Mitchy, she insisted that the sale was carried out legally under a court order and with the consent of Mr Ibu’s sons, Valentine and Daniel Okafor.
She displayed documents to support her claims and explained that she currently runs an online jewellery business, adding that her late husband had initially discouraged her from venturing into the business while she remained active in Nollywood.
Stella Maris also revealed plans to move out of her current residence because of its high cost, explaining that she only relocated there due to security concerns after her husband’s death.
She further alleged that disagreements with some members of Mr Ibu’s family began shortly after his burial over money donated for the upkeep of her children, insisting she refused to share the funds because they were intended for her children.
‘Very anyhow OG’ — Peller fires back at Ycee over illiteracy comments
Popular TikTok personality Peller has fired back at rapper Ycee after the latter criticised what he described as “Peller culture” during an interview on the Afropolitan Podcast.
Ycee had lamented what he sees as the celebration of anti-intellectual content online, using Peller as an example while arguing that intelligence and academic excellence are no longer appreciated in Nigeria.
In response, Peller accused the rapper of unnecessarily mentioning his name and labelled him a “very anyhow OG.”
“The same olodo uprising wey una dey use promote una noise, very anyhow OG. If you’re an elderly person, respect yourself. Must you mention names? You yourself are an illiterate because, as an elderly man with sense, you should be able to make your point without mentioning anyone’s name,” Peller said in a social media video.
The exchange has continued to fuel conversations about social media influence, education and celebrity culture.
