2026: Adeleke’s Spokesperson Urges Kinsmen To Vote For Accord
•Say Gov Has Major Development Plans In Stock For Iwoland
The Special Adviser and spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Olawale Rasheed, has called on the people of Iwo to vote massively for the Accord in 2026, saying the Governor has lined up bigger projects for Iwoland.
Rasheed made the call on Saturday at a meeting of the Iwo Action Council (IWAC).
He said the Adeleke administration has already delivered landmark infrastructure in Iwo and is set to do more in infrastructure, water supply, and industrial development.
The spokesperson listed key road projects executed by the administration to include Araromi-Panada-Kuti Road, Osogbo Junction-Ajigbaagun Road, Feesu-Agbowo Road, Ile-Amin-Jagun Ode Road, and Post Office-Muniare-Oke Bode-Okefa Road.
He added that work is ongoing on the Testing Ground-Gaa Fulani-Amuludun Road and Agoro-Patara Road.
According to him, the administration also delivered the first major dual carriageway in Iwo’s history through the dualisation of the Odo Ori-Adeke Road.
“Governor Adeleke did not just dualise roads; he redesigned the heart of Iwo. It is a city centre redevelopment project that will change the face of the town for generations to come,” he said.
The project, he explained, stretches from Palace Junction through Akaso Junction to Post Office Junction.
Rasheed further said the Adeke Bridge, which had been in a state of disrepair, was reconstructed by the current administration to improve connectivity within the town.
He noted that beyond infrastructure, Governor Adeleke has also promoted unity in Iwo through inclusive governance and equal attention to all sections of the community.
On water supply, the spokesperson disclosed that the Iwo Water Works has been reactivated, while the remaining phase will be completed as more funds become available.
He added that the Governor plans to develop the Oke-Oba axis of Iwo into an industrial hub to leverage the Federal Government’s Inland Dry Port in Erunmu, Oyo State.
He also said the old Samosta Farms will be repackaged for global agricultural investors by OSICOL, with a directive for community participation in the ownership structure.

Rasheed further revealed that plans are underway to extend the ongoing dualisation from Post Office to Adeke Junction, while another dual carriageway is proposed from Oluponna Junction to Kara Market.
He urged Iwo residents to ensure continuity by voting for Governor Adeleke, stressing that it will guarantee the completion of ongoing projects and delivery of the new development plans for Iwoland.
“Governor Adeleke has done so well for Iwo people by delivering projects many considered impossible, especially the first dual carriageway in the history of the town. Continuity will ensure we finish what we started,” he said.
