Adeleke Approves Implementation Of Reviewed Remuneration For Unilesa Academic Staff
Governor Ademola Adeleke, has approved the immediate implementation of the reviewed remuneration package for academic staff of the University of Ilesa.
This was disclosed in a statement on Friday by the Senior Assistant Registrar (Corporate Service and Information Unit), Babatunde Fanowopo.
The statement noted that the approval, which aligns with the remuneration package earlier approved for Osun State University, Osogbo, was conveyed to the UNILESA Vice-Chancellor in a letter with reference number NEBS/UNILESA/VOL2/033, dated 29th May 2026.
It added that the letter was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. M.A.K. Jimoh.
Fanowopo said the review was aimed at enhancing staff welfare and motivation, improving retention, and strengthening the University’s capacity to attract highly qualified, world-class academics.

Reacting to the development, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, FCA, commended the Governor for his sustained commitment to education and for prioritising the welfare of university staff.
He assured that the gesture would further inspire dedication to teaching, research, and community service in line with its vision of becoming a centre of academic excellence.
