- Canvasses Propagation of Coalition Agenda
The Interim National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has urged members of the party not to engage in verbal attacks with members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or other opposition parties.
He said rather than engage in personal or verbal attacks, efforts should be geared towards enagaging Nigerians on issues of governance and national development, which the ADC coalition seeks to address.
Addressing his supporters at the Murtala Muhammad Airport in Lagos on Friday, Aregbesola noted that it is time for Nigerians to distinguish between good governance and one which has plunged them into severe hardship.
“You don’t have to fight anyone. Do not abuse or attack anybody. I am happy that you have come to receive me. When they abuse or call you names, don’t retaliate. Ask them to tell you if the lives of Nigerians are better for it now than before?
“Ask questions based on food inflation, the economy, rising cost of living, poverty among others.
“Let your debates be issues based. Tell them our position on these issues and why our new party, the ADC is coming and why our alternative is critical and crucial for Nigeria’s progress and sustainability in the future,” Aregbesola said.
