Esa Oke Killing: Adeleke Relocates Slain Accord Member’s Widow, Children, Grants Scholarships
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has relocated Tolulope Aderogba, widow of the slain Accord Party member, Busuyi Aderogba, and her four children to the state capital for safety and care.
The widow, who arrived in Osogbo on Friday evening, had earlier recounted how her husband was murdered last Tuesday in front of his father’s house.
According to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the widow, upon arrival in the state capital, required medical attention and was immediately treated.
Rasheed said the governor also approved full scholarships for the deceased’s four children.
“Accommodation has also been provided for the family in Osogbo. A fifth child who was living with the Aderogbas at the time of the incident was also included in the state’s support package,” the statement noted.
It added that the relocation was coordinated by Hon. Pelumi Olajengbesi, Spokesperson of the Imole Campaign Council, alongside Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi, member of the House of Assembly representing Obokun State Constituency.
“The move followed concerns over the safety of the widow and her children in Esa Oke. Olajengbesi also made a personal donation to support the bereaved family,” Rasheed noted.

Meanwhile, the Governor had pledged that the killers of Mr. Aderogba “will surely be apprehended and prosecuted.”
The governor said he had also informed police authorities that some Esa Oke residents are still being threatened because of their support for the Accord Party.
He urged the police to act swiftly to prevent further tragedy in the town.
“I am happy the widow and children are now fully secured here at the capital. We have made all arrangements for the schooling and other needs of the family. The state will ensure their safety, care and justice for the late Aderogba,” Adeleke said.
He added that he is monitoring the implementation of directives issued by the Inspector General of Police through the Deputy Inspector General.
“We expect immediate action to implement the directives of the Inspector General of Police. I am hoping that no police officer will defy an openly conveyed instruction and operational orders duly issued by the IGP,” the governor noted.
