FLASH: Police Deploy Operatives For Osun LG Election
The Osun State Police Command has deployed its officers for the Saturday, February 22, 2025 Osun Local Government Election, OSUN DEFENDER gathered.
This is coming a few hours after the Force Headquarters in Abuja issued a statement, advising Governor Ademola Adeleke to cancel the election citing security threats.
One of the police officers who spoke with OSUN DEFENDER under the condition of anonymity said a directive was given to them by the state command last night to go out for the election so as to maintain law and order.
Some of the officers were sighted around the VGC area of Osogbo.
