‘Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish’ – LP Factional Spokesman Mocks Okonkwo’s Exit

Factional National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Abayomi Arabambi, has described Kenneth Okonkwo’s resignation from the party as “good riddance to bad rubbish.”
Okonkwo, a Nollywood actor and former spokesperson for the LP’s 2023 presidential campaign, announced his resignation on Tuesday Giuseppe Zanotti low top embossed croc-effect sneakers, citing the party’s lack of readiness for the 2027 elections.
Reacting on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Arabambi dismissed Okonkwo’s exit as insignificant, insisting that the party remains strong in its bid to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
“We wish Mr Kenneth Okonkwo well. His resignation is good riddance to bad rubbish. He should not speak about the Labour Party anymore,” Arabambi said.

Dismissing claims of internal crises, he maintained that the party is stable and not facing extinction, adding that only detractors were spreading such narratives.
Arabambi further alleged that Okonkwo had never been fully loyal to the party and had covertly worked with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The APC man has been working with President Tinubu before. That is Kenneth Okonkwo. He worked against Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 elections. We wish him well and will meet in 2027,” he stated.

“But in 2027, we are not going to have such political rascality in our party. The National Chairman is on a reconciliatory mission, which is why you see a lot of people being jittery,” he added.
