‘He Used Juju’ – Speed Darlington Cries Out After Losing Fight To Portable
Amidst reactions trailing the recently held celebrity boxing bout in Lagos, controversial Nigerian singer, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has cried out over what he described as “spiritual manipulation” following his loss to street-hop sensation, Badmus Okikiola, better known as Portable.
The match, which was part of the ‘Chaos In The Ring’ event organised by Game Rush and Balmoral Promotions, took place on Saturday and attracted a large crowd of fans and celebrities.
The event had earlier been publicised as a high-profile clash of entertainers, following a series of heated exchanges between the two singers on social media.
Speed Darlington, in a viral video posted on X (formerly Twitter), alleged that Portable deployed mystical powers — commonly referred to as juju — during the bout.

According to him, his right shoulder mysteriously became dislocated mid-fight without any heavy contact or exhaustion that could have warranted such injury.
“I didn’t feel any fatigue. I was not tired. But suddenly, my shoulder just shifted. He used juju, I’m very sure,” Speed Darlington said, visibly distressed.
He maintained that no ordinary force could have dislocated his arm without a physical trigger, and insisted that his opponent must have used charms to secure the win.
The fight, which ended with Portable being declared the winner, has since generated heated debate online, with fans taking sides and speculating on the possible truth behind Speed Darlington’s claim.
