Omoluabi Progressives Commends Members For Boycotting Osun LG Election
The leadership of Omoluabi Progressives has commended its members across Osun State for heeding the directive to boycott the just-concluded Local Government election.
Speaking at the Ijesa zonal meeting held on Thursday, in Ilesa, the Chairman of Omoluabi Progressives, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, expressed appreciation to members for their unwavering commitment to the group’s directive.
He noted that their decision not to participate or work for any candidate in the election was a testament to their dedication to the ideals of true progressivism.
A statement by Abosede Oluwaseun, the tendency’s publicist said the meeting, which had in attendance members from Oriade, Obokun, Atakunmosa East, Atakunmosa West, Ilesa West, and Ilesa East, served as a platform for reaffirming the group’s vision for the future.

Alhaji Azeez assured members that Omoluabi Progressives would soon evolve into a full-fledged political party anchored on genuine progressive ideology.
He further emphasised that the emerging party would be built on the pillars of equity, fairness, and inclusivity, ensuring that all members, regardless of status or affiliations, have a level playing field.
Among the notable figures present at the meeting were the former Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, Rev’d Lowo Adebiyi; Secretary of Omoluabi Progressives, Prince Adelani Baderinwa; Hon. Caleb Ojo; Hon. Tajudeen Famuyide; Hon. Mrs Sola Adeoye, and members of the Omoluabi Progressives State Coordinating Team.
The gathering also attracted a large number of members from the six local government areas in Ijesaland.
