Pay 100k To See Me — Carter Efe Mocks Babcock’s Legal Threat Over Certificate Forgery
Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has responded after Babcock University threatened legal action against him over an alleged certificate forgery.
The controversy began after the comedian, whose real name is Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, claimed during an interview with Egungun of Lagos that he graduated from the private university with first-class honours.
He later shared on X what he claimed was his graduation certificate, indicating that he earned a first-class degree and graduated in 2023.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Babcock University described the certificate as “false, unauthorised and fraudulent,” adding that it would commence legal proceedings against the content creator.
Reacting during a live stream, Carter Efe appeared to dismiss the university’s threat of legal action.
He also said the institution would have to pay a N100,000 ticket fee if it wanted to see him.
“Babcock University, I heard that you are looking for me, you would not see me. Before you would see me, you would pay N100,000 for ticket to see me in Babcock and we are coming soon,” he said.
