The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has expelled former Governor Rauf Aregbesola over alleged anti-party activities, months after declaring him a non-member of the party.
Osun APC had earlier purportedly suspended Aregbesola on October 29, 2024, after some of its leaders including the party’s National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, had also restated that the former governor, was ‘inconsequential,’ and that his political influence had ‘waned,’ stressing that the APC will win the 2026 governorship election in the state without him.
