1. Osun Court Remands Man Over Attempted Murder Charge

A Magistrates’ Court in Osogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday, remanded one Ayomide Bello, who is standing trial for alleged fraud and attempted murder.

The defendant, whose address was not provided, had pleaded not guilty to the four -count charge of fraud, attempted murder and breach of public peace, levelled against him.

With just 10 days to the February 22, 2025, local government elections in Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful electoral process.

4. Property Destroyed As Rain Wreaks Havoc In Erinmo-Ijesa

A devastating rainstorm which occured in Erinmo-Ijesa town in Oriade Local Government area of Osun State has destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in the community.

It was gathered that the heavy rain which lasted for about an hour destroyed the residences of the traditional ruler of the ancient town, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa, Oba Dr. Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, including the fence of his ultra modern palace guest house which is currently under construction.
